Die Spammers Die
by Jesse on Aug.10, 2008, under Spam
According to my mailscanner – 91% of all email coming into my mailscanner is spam.
Of the 9% of email that gets forwarded through to exchange, 10% of that is also spam, but isn’t caught by MailScanner.
Spamming should be illegal…..oh wait….it is.

Just a thought, but why not run it through google first, and let them do the spam filtering, then forward it on to exchange? Save you a lot of bandwidth and headaches

It’s not horribly bandwidth intesive, as you can see it’s not a lot of megabytes of traffic (and with a 6mbit inbound connection I’m far from hurting)
Plus, my main reason for running stuff like that is for the experience of it. If I off-load it to Google I can’t say I’ve built the things myself.
Besides, it’s fun.
