Welcome back!
by Jesse on May.11, 2007, under General
Ok, welcome back to the new and improved SanGod.Com.Â
Of the improvements I’ve added -
* Less griping about co-workers
* Less specific information about what I do from day-to-day
* Less of me personally.Â
What I’m going to try is this – To fill in the void that will no-doubt be left behind, I’m going to make this more of a bulletin board than a blog.
Anyone wanting the ability to post to the site will be given Author status. I’d like to work on making this more of a community and less “My Soapbox”
I promise only to censor language and offensive content. I also promise *NEVER* to provide email addresses to anyone. EVER..
Let the games begin.

I like the idea of opening it up a bit. It’s unfortunate that you won’t be able to dive into your daily challenges. I found that to be some of the most enjoyable posts. Hopefully you can find a way to post the more interesting ones in a way that “meets their needs” and still provides some of your insight to the community.

So you got in trouble huh?

Yeah – divulging too much “company sensitive” information.
I’ll be a good techie from now on.

Hi Jesse,
Sorry to hear that you wont be dishing the dirt so much anymore. What will I read now for my daily dose of sanity?
I must admit that I did wonder how much longer you could blog like that without upsetting the powers that be. A while ago I blogged under an alias and then changed to using my name. But I quickly realised that there was something nice about being totally anonymous.
Oh well, good luck with the new focus for the site.
Make sure you still keep giving your opinions and such on storage technology in general.

I will. I have strong opinions…. They’re what usually land me in trouble.

SG, when i log in, I get the WordPress dashboard, and seem to have a lot of rights that maybe you’d prefer I didn’t.
I’d be very interested in posting every now and then. If you wouldn’t mind a NetApp expert, that is.

Not really – the options are there, but when you click on them you get the very friendly—”You don’t have permission….” etc etc.
You’re more than welcome. This isn’t an EMC-Centeric site, it’s for all things storage, technology, and even ranting about work conditions.
