		<description>Truthfully, I&#039;ve seen the same types of problems with all systems.  

The main reason I choose EMC is because i know it, much the same reason a lot of people choose NetApp, Hitachi, etc.

The other reasons stem from the fact that once it&#039;s set up, it&#039;s mostly fire and forget.

*THAT* is what I&#039;m looking for in a storage system. ;-)</description>

		<description>Perhaps I&#039;m missing something in the bigger picture here, and maybe you can even enlighten me.  But between reading this blog, and spending a month with a clariion, I&#039;m completely lost as to why anyone in their right mind would ever choose EMC over netapp.  Care to shed some light for me?

Everytime I touch EMC hardware, all I can think of is &quot;the only sane reason it was done this way is so that I&#039;d pay someone at EMC to come do it for me&quot;.
